- רְכַךְch. sam(רכךְto be soft, tender). Pa. רכֵּיךְ 1) to make soft. Targ. Y. II Gen. 44:19 מְרַכֵּיךְ במילוי to speak softly. 2) (with, or sub. לבא) to make faint, frighten. Targ. Y. I Gen. 27:40 (ed. Vien. מַרְכִּיךְ Af.). Targ. Job 23:16. Ithpa. אִתְרַכֵּיךְ, Ithpe. אִתְרְכִיךְ to be softened, become soft; to melt. Targ. Y. Ex. 12:12; Num. 33:4. Targ. Ruth 3:8.
